Focsee

Head of Cosplay Ambassadors
“I’ve been cosplaying for about 6 years now from a variety of different types of fandoms. My favorite thing about cosplay is the countless adventures and people I’ve met at cons! I attend both local and out of state cons and enjoy seeing the same amazing people every year. I learned to sew just for cosplay and it’s been a very exciting journey, but I also love to entertain people and make them laugh!”

Eva Bastion

“I started cosplay because I was tired of only being able to dress up one day a year. It was 5 years ago since I put together my first real cosplay, and since then my passion has continued to grow (as my wallet shrinks.) Cosplay brings me so much joy, and I’m so happy to be able to share that joy with others.”

Caity Stella Cosplay

“I cosplay because I love to create things! It’s a challenge and a learning experience every time I create something new. I love to make things you see on a screen come to life, and the smiles on people’s faces when they see their favorite character!”

Batman 66

“I cosplay to bring joy to others and to be a character I grew up on as a kid. Cosplay means to me being part of a community of people who bring joy and happiness to others and bringing joy to myself.”

Meoqie

“I cosplay because it’s a way to show my passion for my favorite series’ and characters. I’ve been sewing since I was eight, so when I found out about cosplay in my teens it just felt natural to take my skills there and apply it to the fandoms I loved. The more conventions I attended the more I fell in love with cosplay as a whole and the community surrounding it.”

“Cosplay is my art form, there’s just something so exciting about taking a two dimensional image and bringing it to life into something I can put on my body. Or taking characters I love and designing them something new. For me half the fun is in picking out fabrics and building patterns to translate the image on the screen to a wearable outfit.”

“Most importantly cosplay is about the community. Almost all of my closest friends I’ve met through cosplay and conventions. When you’re cosplaying from the same series you immediately have something in common with another person, and there’s an instant connection to other people who loves a fictional character as much as you do. I wouldn’t still be cosplaying today if it weren’t for the friends I’ve made along the way.”

smzeldarules

“I’ve been cosplaying since 2006, mostly from JRPGs (retro and obscure ones are my favorite!) My favorite thing about cosplaying is the bonds that I’ve created over the years. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the amazing friendships and happiness that I’ve made. And being able to cosplay from the fandoms I’m super passionate about with others who share the same passion is amazing.”
